Cozy Stay & Outstanding Breakfast Our stay at the Bramley House was a wonderful way to end our time in the UK. Our only regret was not being able to arrive earlier and experience more of the town during the day. We stayed in Room #8, which was cozy but well-equipped for a very comfortable stay. The bar downstairs was lively in the evening, but even with our window opening above the outdoor seating area, the noise was never a problem—it quieted down completely by around 10 p.m. The room came stocked with plenty of amenities, including soaps, tea, coffee, and some surprise treats. The included breakfast was easily the best full English breakfast we had during our trip! This isn’t a hotel with a tiny kitchen—it’s a proper restaurant that also offers accommodations. The surrounding town is very walkable, with a large grocery store just a pleasant 10-minute walk away through charming streets and neighborhoods. The staff we met were warm, friendly, and welcoming. The only small challenge was figuring out how to check in when we arrived during a busy time—it wasn’t immediately obvious where to go. We simply spoke with someone behind the bar, and they quickly connected us with the right person to get us checked in. It ended up being a very easy process with friendly staff—just know you can ask anyone if you arrive when it’s busy. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Second time I've stayed here. Without doubt a gem of a place. Rooms comfortable and well furnished, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices great. The bar I the evening was an added bonus for a small hotel. The staff very attentive and helpful. Tom and Pete, the owners have made a hotel feel like a home. Very friendly couple who can often be found sitting in the bar chatting to the clients. Thank you both, we will definitely use again when down visiting family.

Absolutely lovely place with great service. Tom the owner is a joy. We were let down with our last booking elsewhere by a rude owner who cancelled on us by phone. Tom and his team helped us out last minute. We had a wonderful stay. Lovely clean rooms, breakfast included which was tasty and a great location. Bar was reasonable with a huge choice of drinks. Would love to stay again for longer.
We first came across The Branley House Hotel in the summer whilst staying elsewhere in the town and had a a lovely meal there. We found ourselves back in the area this week needing overnight accommodation and decided to stay at The Bramley as we liked what we saw in the summer. It did not disappoint. Lovely and friendly staff, cosy rooms, decent carpark and great meals (breakfast and evening meal). Felt like a real home from home. I'm sure we'll be back next time we are working in the area.
